A missionary is someone who leaves his or her home for a little while so others can have their families forever.

Our Mission Scriptures

Our Mission Scriptures:

"Oh, that I were an angel, and could have the wish of mine heart . . . Yea, I would declare unto every soul, as with the voice of thunder, repentance and the plan of redemption, that they should repent and come unto our God, that there might not be more sorrow upon all the face of the earth." Alma 29:1-2 (Book of Mormon)

" . . . be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58 (Bible)

Sometimes the Cup Just Runneth Over

"I will . . . pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it."  3 Nephi 24:10

The people we are privileged to meet on a mission bless our lives beyond words.  We know Heavenly Father loves his children in all their variety because each individual is unique and lovable.  Being able to connect spirit to spirit with so many individuals give us an understanding of how He knows every single person who has ever been on this earth.  A parent cannot forget a child.  These people we will not forget.  We were sent here to let them know He is mindful of their lives, their struggles, and their dreams.  He has not forgotten any of us and He will never will.  I cannot comprehend how all encompassing and unconditional that love is for you and for me.

We had a great Sabbath today and the quote of the day from one of the meetings is:  "Sometimes good things fall apart so other good things can come together." - Elder Peterson.

This is a flower still blooming here.  It was raining at the time (like it has been doing all week).  It was sunny and warm today!

We had a delicious "tea" with an exceptional young couple that I'll have to tell you about later, since Elder Blain is pacing back and forth past the door waiting to check out the news on line.  I am too shattered (British slang meaning completely exhausted or worn out) to post anything else anyway.  It has been a very, very long and busy day (and week).
