"In my Father's house there are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." John 14:2-3
Our teaching moments continue with the family we have been sharing with you on this blog. I mentioned that the town they live in is 1,000 years old. Since the history in England goes far beyond that, this is not as old by their standards as by our standards in the United States. We have artifacts from ancient civilizations, but not the many buildings that are still standing in countries in this part of the world.

The town we've been lucky enough to spend lots of time in lately. |

Notice the 1635 date on this home just around the corner from where we meet with the family we are teaching. |

Notice how the windows are made. |

Little Highlight is getting to be a big girl! |
|
The beard is coming along nicely |
|
Is she contented or what? Food, food, and more food. Running free. Mom called to her when we drove up because she sensed the car was a danger and Highlight came running from the field across the way. Good girl minds her mum. | | |
The lady we were supposed to meet with the night we took these pictures of the horse (Tuesday) stood us up, so at least it wasn't a total waste. We got to see our favorite filly! We still don't know her real name. I just call her Highlight, since she is just that--one of those highlights in a day.
She is getting big fast! What a darling "name" you have chosen for her. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the thought that so many other countries are wayyyy older than we are. Craziness huh?
