Giant's Causeway, Ireland

". . . for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.  2 Nephi 30:15

Another World Heritage Site and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is Ireland's northern coast area.  I've already posted some of the places we visited there, but there are more to come.  The basalt stone columns left by volcanic eruptions 60 million years ago are a site to behold in the Giant's Causeway in County Antrim, Ireland.  You can see approximately 40,000 columns of basalt rock today.

We were fortunate to have very little rain throughout our two-week travels throughout England, Scotland, and Ireland.  It was raining a bit today.

Green, green Ireland on the trail to the causeway.
