A missionary is someone who leaves his or her home for a little while so others can have their families forever.

Our Mission Scriptures

Our Mission Scriptures:

"Oh, that I were an angel, and could have the wish of mine heart . . . Yea, I would declare unto every soul, as with the voice of thunder, repentance and the plan of redemption, that they should repent and come unto our God, that there might not be more sorrow upon all the face of the earth." Alma 29:1-2 (Book of Mormon)

" . . . be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58 (Bible)

Most of the homes are double homes like these (like a duplex but nicer than the ones in the U.S.).  Notice the front doors right next to one another and each owner has chosen a different door.  Sometimes the home will be a different color or different roof divided down the middle.  I especially like the windows that usually have a vase of flowers or some single item displayed.  Once in a while a cat is displaying itself on the ledge.  Many people hedge themselves off and you cannot see the homes.  Most at least have a gate, stone or brick wall, or something to hide behind or offer some privacy--especially because many homes are sitting right on the street.  This color of brick is on the majority of homes and I love the look.  It seems solid and the older places still look nice.
