A missionary is someone who leaves his or her home for a little while so others can have their families forever.

Our Mission Scriptures

Our Mission Scriptures:

"Oh, that I were an angel, and could have the wish of mine heart . . . Yea, I would declare unto every soul, as with the voice of thunder, repentance and the plan of redemption, that they should repent and come unto our God, that there might not be more sorrow upon all the face of the earth." Alma 29:1-2 (Book of Mormon)

" . . . be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58 (Bible)

If Ye Are Prepared, Ye Shall Not Fear--Last Days

A small voice of warning:  Soooooo, are you prepared for emergencies with enough food, water, warm clothing, medicines, and other necessities?

NOTE:  Another large volcanic eruption could shut down transportation and communication (Internet, etc.)
fairly quickly all over the world.

Signs of the Times--Seven major signs revealed:

1.  The elements in commotion
2.  General decline in morality
3.  Increased violence and corruption
4.  Satan's assault on the family
5.  Conspiracies in the last days
6.  The U.S. Constitution shall hang by a thread
7.  Wars and rumors of wars

The Elements of Commotion

" . . . for after your testimony cometh the testimony of earthquakes . . . and also cometh the testimony of the voice of thunderings, and the voice of lightenings, and the voice of tempests, and the voice of the waves of the sea heaving themselves beyond their bounds.  And all shall be in commotion."  D&C 88:89-91

U.S.  Geological Survey - Earthquakes have increased in frequency and intensity over the past century.
Those measuring at least 7.0 on the Richter scale:
1920s          2
1950s          9
1960s         15
1980s         46
1990s       120
2000s       134

Devastating Natural Disasters
Two of the deadliest natural disasters in the past century:
             - 2004 Indonesia Tsunami killed 225,000 people
            -  2010  Haiti earthquake killed 230,000, injured 300,000, and left one million homeless
            -  2010 Chili - major earthquake and tsunami
            -  2010  Iceland volcano paralyzed transportation for six days--unprecedented

" . . . "there shall be famines and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places."  Matthew 24:7
In 2008, over 35 countries had riots over lack of food or price of food
-nothing will cause commotion more than food shortages or prices to high
-people will fight for basic needs
