A missionary is someone who leaves his or her home for a little while so others can have their families forever.

Our Mission Scriptures

Our Mission Scriptures:

"Oh, that I were an angel, and could have the wish of mine heart . . . Yea, I would declare unto every soul, as with the voice of thunder, repentance and the plan of redemption, that they should repent and come unto our God, that there might not be more sorrow upon all the face of the earth." Alma 29:1-2 (Book of Mormon)

" . . . be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58 (Bible)

Roadside Scene & a Baptism!

Scripture for the day:  . . . this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God . . .  2 Nephi 31:21

Going back from the baptism on Sunday in Stafford.  This scene was shot while going down the highway, holding the camera out the window and pointing it backwards in hopes of catching it.  I do not know what the yellow is.  Maybe a mustard crop?
These two lovely sister on the left had a baptism today--a couple!  One of the person baptized has lung cancer.  None-the-less, it was a happy day for the parents and the family because they have been praying for years for them to accept the gospel.  These sisters have been amazing in the work they have done.  People seem more receptive to sister and senior missionaries because they probably aren't as easy to reject rudely at the door. The one in  the middle is from England via Holland (where she was living), and the other is from Canada.   The one in the middle goes home on Wednesday.  We will miss her greatly.

Notice my stupid hair?  My hairdresser is in Utah!  When I'm on a mission, I cut it myself and it turns out looking like a Buster Brown do.  All the gray is starting to take over too.  Oh, for my Emily to help cover the gray and give me back manageable tresses!
