A missionary is someone who leaves his or her home for a little while so others can have their families forever.

Our Mission Scriptures

Our Mission Scriptures:

"Oh, that I were an angel, and could have the wish of mine heart . . . Yea, I would declare unto every soul, as with the voice of thunder, repentance and the plan of redemption, that they should repent and come unto our God, that there might not be more sorrow upon all the face of the earth." Alma 29:1-2 (Book of Mormon)

" . . . be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58 (Bible)

Missionary Sports Day

Alma 7:23:  "Always return thanks to God for whatsoever thing you receive."
Here's my Thanksgiving dinner!  This Costco pizza is actually the first pizza in England I like!!  Maybe I was extra hungry . . .  Our mission sponsored a two-day sports day for all of the missionaries Thursday and Friday.

These are the leftovers.  No pans to clean up, no dishes to wash.  This is what didn't get gobbled up by the missionaries, but a bunch of them took slices home leaving not a crumb.

Elder Blain checking out the leftovers.
Elder Blain showing the young missionaries what basketball is all about.
Everyone shocked and awed--ha, ha!  Did it go in?
Elder Blain with his buddy.  It isn't often he gets his hands on a ball these days.  The mission president was giving instructions for the day.  These are half of the missionaries in the mission.
The sister missionaries playing some kind of karate game
Sister Blain with Sister D. in the process of 239 continuous ping pong hits over the net without stopping.  The most athletic I got for the day, besides baking cookies.
Two senior elders enjoying a talk for the afternoon after football and basketball playing was over after lunch
