" . . . for there is a God, and he hath created all things, . . . 2 Nephi 2:14
We started the day off with forgetting Daylight Savings Time and making it to Sacrament meeting for the last 15 minutes. At least we didn't lose any sleep like usual. I took a long walk over the moors and all over the neighborhood this afternoon and captured as much of spring as possible. The daffodils are dazzling!! They are absolutely everywhere in fields, ditches, all over town, along the motorway, and in gardens. Below are the colors of spring in Darwen. A little song went through my head today that I borrowed (sung to the tune of "I Often Go Walking."
I often go walking
all over the moor land,
and I gather pictures of
blossoms and blooms.
I gather the photos
the whole Darwen over
Dear Father in Heaven,
I want to thank you.
Get ready for a yellow overload!

Walking through Blacksnape |
No one can escape daffodils in England--not even in the window in Blacksnape! |
Miniature daffodils |
A big bumble bee doing his work in the tree blossoms |
This will be fabulous in a couple weeks |
A different kind of daffodil |
One of my favorites--pussy willow |
There are a bunch of new Jacob lambs!! |
Don't you just love these spots? |
Patient mum |
The pictures aren't too clear as I couldn't get too close and had to blow these up to see them better. |
One is newer than the other. The one on the right is one that was born first last week. |
Can you believe how cute these lambs are? |
These are blossoms in a tree out in the middle of the moors |
Nests in the trees |
Buds in the bushes |
Bearded pony |
Ground cover |
One must be careful walking under the lights--there are thousands of these giant pigeons everywhere in England! |
Along the bridle path |
Even the bushes are yellow |
Too bright for the eyes almost--like the sun |
Can't leave out the dandelion! |
I wonder what these buds will become? |
Walking on the bridle path into the sun |
This is a right proper pussy willow tree, not just a tiny shrub like some of them are on the moors. |
This path is next to the playing fields by our apartment. I walked home this way today. |
Heather purple and daffodil yellow compliment one another |
More of my fuzzy friends |
Tree on the moors |
Sign at the car wash |
I think this stands for industry is Blackburn with Darwen--their logo is the beehive (reminds me of Utah). We see this every time we go to church or to Blackburn. |
This is the coolest door ever with this lion knocker |
Sir Houghton was not a gentleman to be so rotten as to attack on Christmas Day. |
Pretty shrubs not budded out yet |
