A missionary is someone who leaves his or her home for a little while so others can have their families forever.

Our Mission Scriptures

Our Mission Scriptures:

"Oh, that I were an angel, and could have the wish of mine heart . . . Yea, I would declare unto every soul, as with the voice of thunder, repentance and the plan of redemption, that they should repent and come unto our God, that there might not be more sorrow upon all the face of the earth." Alma 29:1-2 (Book of Mormon)

" . . . be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58 (Bible)

The Beauty in this Land--Colwyn Bay North Wales

" . . . rejoice in every good things . . ."  Deut. 26:11

As part of our new assignment to find flats, we went to Wales yesterday.  What a wonderful surprise to find more lovely things to see!  We go again on Saturday, so I'll be posting my findings in the future.  I took most of these while speeding down the motorway, so expect better quality next time there is time to actually go find these places.

At 11:54 a.m., we saw the Irish Sea for the first time!  I was SO excited.  I took this through the car window because we couldn't stop at the time.
We stopped a few hours later and I got this picture of Colwyn Bay and Rhos-by-the-Sea (both little villages next to each other on this bay
Again, shooting out of the car window.  Not time to stop!!  Business first.
This was seen as we drove past on the motorway on the way into Colwyn Bay.  I couldn't get a clean shot in the car going down the road.  Intriguing.  We shall go back and explore.  These are near the real castle, but I think they are called "follies" because the people back then tried to keep up with their neighbors by making it look like they were rich, so they built castle fronts to little homes.  Fake trophy homes!  People never change, right?   Always trying to look prestigious.

"Snowdon" area in the distance with the mountains that I don't know the name of yet

These mountains may not seem much to those of you in Utah or Colorado or Switzerland or wherever there are big mountains, but they are big and beautiful here!!
This was sitting all by itself on the side of the hill as we headed towards Colwyn Bay
Merecats are a popular animal here.  Here was a giant one in a field as we headed towards Colwyn Bay.  On the way home, its eyes we glowing with lights in the dark.

Check it out on their web page:
Welcome to Colwyn Bay North Wales

More later--have to go do missionary work!!
