A missionary is someone who leaves his or her home for a little while so others can have their families forever.

Our Mission Scriptures

Our Mission Scriptures:

"Oh, that I were an angel, and could have the wish of mine heart . . . Yea, I would declare unto every soul, as with the voice of thunder, repentance and the plan of redemption, that they should repent and come unto our God, that there might not be more sorrow upon all the face of the earth." Alma 29:1-2 (Book of Mormon)

" . . . be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58 (Bible)

Zone Conference in Chorley & The House of the Lord

We had a beautiful day at the Preston Temple and it is too late to post much tonight except for two quotes from our mission president and his wife and pictures we got in the morning when we arrived early and ones taken later when we were leaving.

"Because of His life, we celebrate His birth."  Sister Bullock

"With the Church, you're at home anywhere."  President Bullock (referring to missionaries being away from home at Christmas).

The colors reflecting from the sky in the sunrise were gorgeous!
There was more snow here than anywhere we have been.  I walked around the temple in my boots (8 inches on the ground)
I love these trees in the winter.
The temple looked pink with the sunrise
cozy cold spot on the temple grounds

The sky when we were leaving the temple in the afternoon

Some missionaries built this snow temple
The first group that went through the temple sang Christmas songs while waiting for the second group to join them.
Our Crewe District:  Elder from Armenia, Elder from the Netherlands, Me, Elder Blain, our District Leader from Germany, and Elder from the States.
Elders walking near the temple as we get ready to leave
It was a lovely, spiritual day
